Dr Busi Mathibela graduated from the University of the Western Cape in 1997. She soon realized that her passion was in aesthetic dentistry. After spending some time working in a fully private practice in the United Kingdom, she enrolled for a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry, which she completed in 2004.
She is currently in Private Practice in Sandton, Johannesburg with a special interest in aesthetic dentistry. In May 2011, she attended Dr. Galip Gurel's hands-on training course in Istanbul. The principles she learned have changed and enhanced the way she practices and plans her aesthetic cases. These skills are not just limited to major cases but can also be applied to minor restorative work.
Music is her first love. She believes that there is synergy between how an orchestra plays and the teamwork required to achieve beautiful aesthetic work. It has perhaps been a natural progression that her passion and advent interest lies in this aspect of dentistry.
She has also attended numerous international congresses whose primary focus is esthetic dentistry. She is a member of Study Group 1, SAAAD and SADA.
