Partial annodontia is a relative common phenomenon in South Africa. Mostly we see absent lateral incisors, which is relatively easy to treat with orthodontic preparation and placement of dental implants. With more teeth absent and retention of primary teeth well into adulthood, the aesthetic management becomes quite complicated.
