Dr Jennifer Julyan graduated with a BChD from the University of Pretoria (2012). Subsequently, she earned a post-graduate diploma in aesthetic dentistry from the University of the Western Cape (2015), a specialist MChD degree in prosthodontics from the University of the Western Cape (2022), a fellowship in prosthodontics from the College of Medicine South Africa (CMSA) (2022).
She is a NATCO board member of the Academy of Prosthodontics South Africa (APSA), a Young International Team of Implantology Leadership team member (ITI), ITI Study Club Director, Fellow and speaker for the ITI (2023) and a Prosthodontic mentor for NEXUS (2024).
Jennifer has lectured for SADA, ITI, and SAAAD in the past.
Jennifer works in a private prosthodontic practice at Waterstone Village Office Park, Somerset West, Cape Town. She is a part-time consultant and lecturer in the Department of Prosthodontics at the University of the Western Cape.
Jennifer grew up in a small farming town in Gauteng, South Africa. She initially started studying medicine at the University of Pretoria, but the dentistry bug bit her, and in her second year, she changed her field of study to dentistry. She completed her community service at the Forest Hill Military Base in Port Elizabeth, after which she relocated to Cape Town.
Jennifer completed her post-graduate studies in prosthodontics and is establishing her private practice whilst contributing as a mentor and lecturer to her dental colleagues through several courses, study clubs and personal mentorship.
She loves living an active, outdoor life in Cape Town with her husband, JC, who is currently busy with a post-graduate Master's in Orthodontics.
