Dr Chris Traut graduated from the University of the Western Cape at the top of his class in 2016. After completing his community service year, he moved to Gauteng, where he has been in private practice for the last seven years.
In 2021, he set up his practice in Bryanston with modern, digitally-driven dentistry at the core of its operations.
In 2022, he completed an Advanced Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry diploma at the Implant and Aesthetic Academy (IAA) in Cape Town.
In dentistry, he holds certifications in interceptive orthodontics, Damon fixed orthodontics, Spark and Invisalign clear aligner therapy and implantology.
Above all, Dr Traut is passionate about the ‘Align, Bleach and Bond’ treatment philosophy in dentistry and the use of digitally guided resin restorations implemented with the injection-moulding technique.
He uses an entire in-house workflow from design to implementation. He has extensive knowledge of how the design elements, model printing, stent production and clinical execution of injection moulding all interplay to provide predictably beautiful, long-lasting restorations.
He is involved with hands-on training of dentists in the injection-moulding technique through the Bridge Program, serves as a board member on the South African Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry and is a member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI).
