Online Payments Terms
To become a Member of SAAAD, renew your Membership Subscription, or book and pay for one of our Events, we recommend that you first register by visiting ‘Join SAAAD' and completing the registration section. Registration as a Member enables:

- Membership discounts;
- The ability to store your billing and delivery details;
- Viewing your order history;
- Directory listing for your practice, laboratory or company;
- Access to our Members Zone and Forum.
Registration and/or use of the SAAAD Site constitutes your acceptance of this Agreement, including the SAAAD Online Payments Terms. The SAAAD Online Payments Terms shall apply as between SAAAD and yourself. SAAAD reserves the right to amend the SAAAD Online Payments Terms from time to time and any such amendments shall be deemed to apply as between yourself and SAAAD. Any such amendments will take effect immediately on posting of the amended SAAAD Online Payments Terms on the site.
To pay for Membership Subscriptions or Events on the SAAAD Site you must be over the age of 18 (eighteen) and be the holder of a valid MasterCard or Visa credit card ('Payment Card'). Alternately, providing you are transacting from South Africa, you may make an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) into our bank account.
Online Payments and Registration
To Register you will be required to provide certain information including personal details and your delivery address (in the case of Journal subscriptions). When registering you will be required to choose a User Name and a Password. Please keep your Password secret. SAAAD accepts no liability for any damages suffered or losses incurred from the use or misuse of your Password.
You will be required to enter your User Name and Password to login each time you visit the SAAAD Members Zone, to renew your Membership Subscription, or receive your discount for one of our Events.
To amend any registration particulars please visit 'My Profile' in the Members Zone and effect the amendments.
Credit Card Payments and Security
SAAAD accepts Credit Card and other payments via PayFast, an external payments processing service for South Africans and South African websites. If it is the first time that you are using PayFast, you will need to create an account on their external website. No credit card details are stored on the SAAAD website. When PayFast processes a transaction for you via any of the secure payment web services, the transaction is encrypted, making use of the latest SSL encryption which encrypts all data sent from the browser to PayFast in such a way that only the PayFast servers can read it. Users may go to www.payfast.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.
Customer Details Separate from Card Details
SAAAD customer details are stored separately from card details, which are entered by the client on PayFast's secure site. For more detail on PayFast, please refer to http://www.payfast.co.za. None of SAAAD's administrators or employees have access to your credit card details.
The private information required for executing the orders placed via the SAAAD Membership Subscriptions or Events Booking, namely your personal information, delivery address and telephone numbers will be kept in the strictest confidence and not sold or made known to third parties. Only the necessary information, that is the delivery address and contact phone number will be made known to third parties delivering the product (in the case of the subscriptions including the journals).
SAAAD will endeavour to ensure that your personal information details are protected as they travel over the Internet. However, there is no 100% secure transmission of data on the Internet given the current state of Internet technology. Therefore SAAAD cannot guarantee the absolute security of any information you transmit to us or which SAAAD transmits to you.
SAAAD cannot be held responsible for security breaches occurring on the User's personal computer or other electronic device used to browse the Site, which may result due to the lack of adequate virus protection software, or spyware that the User may inadvertently have installed on his/her device.
Merchant Outlet and Transaction Currency
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction Currency is South African Rand (ZAR).
