Dr Corné Smith
Dr Corné Smith graduated from the University of Pretoria in 2005. Originally from Gauteng, she always planned to move to beautiful Cape Town, and started her private practice in Newlands in 2012. She did a post graduate diploma in Aesthetic dentistry through the University of Western Cape, and a 2-year diploma in Orthodontics through McGann Postgraduate School of Dentistry(USA).
Dr Hardus Strydom
Dr Hardus Strydom started his dental journey at the University of Stellenbosch in 2000 following the completion of his B.Sc. degree at the same university. He obtained his B.Ch.D. Degree (Summa Cum Laude) in 2004 and then in 2005 served as community service dentist in Bloemfontein. During this time he enrolled in a PDD in endodontics (2005-2006) and followed that up with a PDD in interceptive orthodontics (2007-2008), both completed at the University of the Western Cape.
Johan P Reyneke BChD, MChD, FCMFOS (SA), PhD
Johan served as professor in the department of Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery at the university of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg since 1991 and was appointed as an extraordinary professor at the University of the Western Cape in 2014, South Africa. Internationally, he also holds professorships at the university of Oklahoma and Florida in the USA as well as the university of Nacional Autònoma de Mexico, San Salvador, Mexico.
He was awarded the Fellowship in Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery in 2003 by peer review in the College of Medicine of South Africa and obtained his PhD at the University of Tampere, Finland in March 2006.
Dr Jean Strydom
Dr Jean Strydom of Molteno Road Dental Practice gained his degree in dentistry at the University of Stellenbosch. He worked as a dentist in England for six years and has gained an excellent reputation in his dental practice in Cape Town since 2004.
He performs all dental treatments but has a special interest in preventative and aesthetic dentistry.
Dr Henk Pretorius
After graduating in 1978 at the University of Pretoria, Dr Henk worked in London for two years. He has been in private practice in Wynberg with 2 associates for the past 38 years. Dr Henk has a special interest in Implant dentistry and has lectured for SAAO and ITI. He has since become an ITI fellow.
He is a member of the South African Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry (SAAAD), International Team for Implantology (ITI), Health Professional counsel of South African (HPCSA), South African Dental Association (SADA).
Dr Sean N Napier
Graduated as a dentist from the University of the Western Cape in June1998. Joined the Kloof dental practice as a locum dentist, became an associate and now owns the practice under the name of Kloof Village Dental, Kloof, Durban. He currently runs a practice and employs two Dental Therapists as part of his team.
He has been a member of SAAAD since its inception in 2010.
He has been involved at UKZN Dental School as a part-time lecturer and restorative dentistry clinical supervisor for a few years. He was also involved in the final year clinical examinations.
Dr Evert Burger
Dr Evert obtained his dental degree in 2007 from University of Western Cape.
In 2009 he joined a private practice in Jeffreys bay and grew the one-man practice to a bigger 3 dentist practice. In 2012 he bought into the Private Practice and it was re-branded into J-bay Dental Studio. He works in Jeffreys Bay full time and in part time in Boksburg.
Dr Dawie Schlebusch B.Ch.D. Dentistry, Dip.Odont, Implantology and Periodontology
Dr Dawie Schlebusch qualified as a dentist from University of Stellenbosch in 1987. During the subsequent 25 years of private practice, he has completed diplomas in Periodontology and Implantology. He has recently achieved international certification in Laser Dentistry and Sleep Medicine.
Professor Dale Geoffrey Howes B.Sc. (Dent); BDS; M.Dent (Wits); FCD (SA) Pros; FICD.
Dale Howes is the Professor and Head of the Department of Oral Rehabilitation at the University of the Witwatersrand and in part-time private prosthodontic practice at Morningside MediClinic, Johannesburg, South Africa.
His Department consists of the divisions of fixed and removable Prosthodontics; Maxillofacial Prosthodontics; Dental Neuroscience - including pain, craniomandibular disorders and sleep medicine; and postgraduate Endodontics.
