Dr Marc Sher graduated as a dentist from the University of Western Cape in 2007. He has worked in the private sector since 2009 and is currently in private practice based at Enamel Clinic in De Waterkant, Cape Town.
Dr Howard Gluckman is the Director of the Implant and Aesthetic Academy. Dedicated to sharing knowledge and sharpening the skills of other practitioners, Dr Gluckman is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in the South African dental industry.
He has lectured extensively nationally and internationally. Dr Gluckman is on the experts’ panel of the international educational website Dental XP and is on the Dental XP scientific board
Dr Noland Naidoo completed his specialist prosthodontic training at the University of the Witwatersrand ( with distinction) and his undergraduate training at the University of the Western Cape (UWC) where he also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Implantology. He is currently in private prosthodontic practice, Howes Michael Naidoo Prosthodontic Practice Inc, in Morningside, Johannesburg, South Africa.
An executive member of SAAAD since its inception in 2010, Dr van Lierop is passionate about the organisation and its members. He will personally be travelling to each city, reconnecting with members and SAAAD friends. Sharing in his knowledge of advanced restorative dentistry and the value of SLOWDENTISTRY through cases and experiences.
Dr Garrana is a Periodontist, Implantologist, and Oral medicine Specialist with a special interest in Aesthetic Implant Surgery and Periodontal Plastic Surgery. Dr Garrana completed his Undergraduate Dental Degree (BDS) and his two post-graduate Degrees (MSc) (MDent) at the University of the Witwatersrand.

Dr Eubulus Timothy is a qualified dental surgeon with two Post Graduate Diplomas, one in Implantology and another in Aesthetics, both from the University of the Western Cape. He now lectures at the University of the Western Cape in use of neuromodulators and dermal filler for facial aesthetics for their post-graduate program.
Dr. Andrew Ellis BChD (Stell)
Dr. Andrew Ellis graduated from The University Of Stellenbosch with his BChD Degree in 1998 receiving The Colgate Prize for Maxillo-Facial Surgery. He then moved to London, UK where he started Fulham Dental Care, a successful private practice in the Chelsea area encompassing all aspects of general dentistry with a special focus on cosmetic dentistry, implantology as well as orthodontic treatment. While living in the UK, Dr Ellis was able to attend several international post-graduate courses and congresses thus gaining considerable knowledge and experience in all fields of clinical dentistry.
Dr Heinrich Dippenaar finished his Degree in Dentistry (BChD) at the University of Stellenbosch in 2002. He was awarded the FX Prins Award for the Best Student in Clinical Dentistry.
After his community service year, in 2003 Dr Dippenaar started a private practice in his hometown, Welkom.
Dr Geoff Patterson completed his dental training at the University of Pretoria in 2007.
After spending a few years in general practice, he completed his Masters degree in Oral Medicine and Periodontics at the University of Pretoria, which he completed with distinction (cum laude).
Dr Andy Effting

Dr Andy Effting graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1981, receiving the Henry St John Randolph Award for Best All-Round Student.
In 1983, he founded Hout Bay Dental Studio, now a leading aesthetic and restorative dentistry practice.
A founding member of SAAAD, Andy has served on its Executive Committee since 2010. He has authored articles in Dentistry SA, presented numerous case studies, and appeared on radio and television discussing dental health.
His special interests include metal-free, minimally invasive dentistry and a holistic approach to patient care.
Dr Shanné Maree

Dr Shanné Maree is a restorative dentist and owns DENTAL HAUS™️ in Val de Vie Winelands Estate, Paarl.
She earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2017 and completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Endodontics (cum laude) in 2019.
Passionate about education and innovation, Shanné serves on the SAAAD Executive Committee and has lectured for SADA, ITI, and SAAAD.
She is dedicated to a holistic approach to health, function, and facial aesthetics, ensuring exceptional patient care.
Dr Chris Traut

Dr Chris Traut graduated top of his class from the University of the Western Cape in 2016. He has been in private practice in Bryanston for six years, focusing on modern, digitally-driven dentistry.
He holds an Advanced Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry diploma and is certified in interceptive orthodontics, Damon fixed orthodontics, clear aligner therapy, and implantology. Passionate about the Align, Bleach, and Bond approach, he specialises in digitally guided resin restorations using the injection-moulding technique.
Chris is actively involved in hands-on dentist training, serves on the SAAAD Executive Committee, and is a member of the International Team for Implantology.
Dr Kaveer Ratan

Dr Kaveer Ratan is a restorative dentist focusing on cosmetic and implant dentistry.
He obtained his dental degree from the University of the Western Cape and a Postgraduate Diploma in Implantology from the University of Pretoria.
A Key Opinion Leader for GC, Kaveer practices at Ratan & Singh Advanced Dentistry in Cape Town.
Passionate about education, he has lectured for The Bridge Program, Nexus, and SADA, sharing his expertise with the next generation of dentists.
Dr Christiaan Victor

Dr Christiaan Victor obtained his BChD degree from the University of Pretoria in 2001 and started his private practice in 2002.
With over two decades in private practice, he has developed expertise in implantology and endodontology, earning multiple postgraduate qualifications, including an MSc Dent (cum laude) in 2020.
Passionate about advancing clinical excellence, he lectures on endodontics and implantology and is an active member of Study Group 1.
